When I started attending grade school I figured out that I was just an average student, and athlete. I decided at an early age that if I was going to ever get ahead in life and reach my goals, I was never going to quit anything, even if things did not go my way, and never give up!
Take a moment to soak in the above statement. Go back and envision the different times in your personal and working life when you have had success. it could have been school, work, sports, a book, a long hike, weight loss, a relationship, or a job goal. Whatever it was that you had success at was usually because you did not give up!
After High School graduation I got my first full-time job as an electricians’ helper. That’s where I learned the phrase, “make every step or move count.” If I went to the work truck to get my lunch, I would take a ladder back. I got my tools more organized, I also planned out each job in my head before starting it. This allowed me to not waste time. the benefit in all of this was I quickly moved up in the company. Another unexpected benefit was I was less tired when I got home! That job also helped prepare me for my future, I just did not realize it at the time. “Always trying to make each step or action count.”
I was a full-time RV Dealer for over 32 years after starting very small. Dandy RV and my many employees helped us to become the top ten nationally respected Dealers. I loved the RV business, and am very excited to be associated with Storyteller Overland!
