Chad Caruso's 30-Day Push Across America

Chad Caruso's 30-Day Push Across America

Birmingham al, april 7, 2026

There are road trips… and then there are odysseys.

This May, Chad Caruso is attempting something that sits firmly in the latter category: skating across the United States in just 30 days. Coast to coast. No shortcuts.
Just miles, momentum, and a mindset that refuses to let off the gas.

From San Diego to Jacksonville, Chad is taking on one of the most physically and mentally demanding endurance feats imaginable—on a skateboard.

And this time, he’s not just chasing distance. He’s chasing time.

From 57 Days to 30: Chasing the Edge

Back in 2023, Chad carved his name into the record books by completing a transcontinental skate in 57 days, setting the world record for the fastest crossing.

That alone is hard to comprehend.

But cutting that time nearly in half?

That’s a different level of ambition.

This isn’t just a physical challenge, it’s a logistical, mental, and emotional grind. Every day becomes a calculation:

  • How far can he push before the body pushes back?
  • How do you recover fast enough to do it again tomorrow?
  • What happens when weather, terrain, or fatigue don’t cooperate?

Thirty days means there’s no margin. No “easy days.” Just relentless forward motion.

The Crew Behind the Push

Chad may be the one on the board, but this is far from a solo mission.

He’s rolling with a tight crew of two—filmmakers, support, and lifeline—all operating out of a Storyteller Overland CREW MODE.

And that changes everything.

Instead of losing miles hunting for hotels or scrambling for food, the CREW MODE becomes:

  • A mobile basecamp – sleep, reset, repeat
  • A rolling production studio – capturing every mile, every moment
  • A fuel station – meals, hydration, and recovery on demand

It’s the difference between surviving the journey and optimizing it.

No detours. No wasted energy. Just alignment between effort and efficiency.

Why This Matters

This isn’t just about skateboarding.

It’s about what happens when someone decides the previous limit wasn’t the real one.

Chad’s journey sits at the intersection of:

  • Endurance sport
  • Storytelling
  • Exploration
  • Human potential

But this time, it’s also about something bigger than the miles.

Chad is using this 30-day push as a platform to raise awareness and funds for Natural High, a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring and empowering youth to live drug-free by finding their natural highs—those passions and pursuits that give life meaning, energy, and purpose.

And that connection couldn’t be more fitting.

Because what Chad is doing out there by pushing through exhaustion, chasing something bigger than himself, and committing fully to a goal is the embodiment of a natural high.

It’s proof that fulfillment doesn’t come from shortcuts. It comes from challenge. From passion. From choosing something hard and seeing it through.

This journey becomes more than a record attempt, it becomes a message:

  • Find your thing
  • Chase it fully
  • Let it carry you further than you thought possible

It’s proof that the line between impossible and possible is often just… time, effort, and belief.

And in true Storyteller fashion, it’s not just about getting from point A to point B.

It’s about the stories collected along the way:

  • The empty desert stretches
  • The small towns in between
  • The early mornings and late-night pushes
  • The moments where quitting feels closer than continuing

Because sometimes, the greatest journeys aren’t just about where you end up—

They’re about what you stand for along the way.

Follow the Journey

As Chad drops into this 30-day attempt, one thing is certain:

This won’t just be a record attempt.

It will be a story worth telling.

A reminder that adventure doesn’t always come with comfort and that sometimes, the best way to explore endlessly… is to keep pushing long after most would stop.
