Storyteller Overland names Erin Smith Sales Director

Storyteller Overland, an industry leader in the class B RV and adventure vehicle manufacturing space, recently promoted Erin Smith to Sales Director.

Erin joined the Storyteller team in February 2022 in an administrative role helping with logistics and accounts payable. She was quickly promoted to logistics manager after she pitched the idea to her manager. Then on her one year anniversary with the company, CRO Andrew Cooley and SVP of National Sales Timothy “Captain” Morgan made a recruiting pitch to Erin on moving from Director of Logistics to her current role of Sales Director.

“Everything about my journey here has proven that with Storyteller, you can figure out where you fit in, and wherever that is, you can make it your own,” Erin said.

Erin will focus on further improving the day to day processes. “I want to make sure that everything that flows from sales is concise and clear; that everyone gets the data they need from us; that we’re meeting our goals,” she said.

“Erin is a force of nature,” Cooley said. “People like her are hard to find, I am thankful that she’s joining the Sales Force and fulfilling the role of Sales Director. This is simply a stop for Erin as she navigates her way to the top – a stop we are thankful she is making at Storyteller.”

Before Storyteller, Erin was a finance manager for a third party administration company. She didn’t previously have any logistics experience.

“I like a challenge,” she said. “If everything’s easy, you never learn anything new. I think a great job challenges you every single day. I never want to be complacent.”

Storyteller’s Chief People Officer, Christina Linton, agrees. “We at Storyteller love to celebrate Movers and Shakers like Erin who face challenges head on,” Christina said. “Erin has already improved so many processes, and we’re excited to see her bring her talents to the sales team!

Erin received her bachelor’s degree from Stillman College. She calls herself a “glamper,” and she loves baking, crafts and the color pink.
